Bicentennial Kick-Off - Ghent

The Town of Ghent will begin a series of yearlong town-wide celebrations in honor of its Bicentennial with a special postmark at the Ghent Post Office. Town historian, Gregg Berninger, will be at the Post Office to answer historical questions. Historical photos will also be on display, and special celebratory cookies will be served.

Melvin the Magnificent!

Spend the morning with Melvin the Magnificent, as he performs an interactive magic show, intermingled with fire safety facts and comedy. One of the highlights of his show is the live appearance of, Hocus Pocus, the Magic Bunny Rabbit. It’s a morning of magical fun with lots of surprises!

Spring Release Party

The long wait is over. The Rebellion Rosé and the Chardonnay are back on the shelves. To celebrate, we’re holding a Spring Release Party so you can be the first to taste the new vintages. *But wait, we have more. We will be releasing our very first Sauvignon Blanc at the event. So come on down, taste the new wines and enjoy the festivities.

PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century will open the doors to its new state-of-the-art black box this weekend with a celebration and dance performance. Caleb Teicher & Co will headline the weekend!
The dance concert features Caleb Teicher and Nic Gareiss, two of America’s most elegant interpreters of traditional American dance forms, including tap, clogging, flatfooting, Irish step, and contemporary hybrids. This is a return visit for Teicher, who charmed audiences during the 2017 Chatham Dance Festival.

The Chancellor's Sheep & Wool Showcase

The Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Showcase is a family festival that celebrates historic fiber arts, culture, and craft. The Showcase boasts over two dozen local vendors, and is a great place to support small businesses! 
As the first of the wool festival season, we are the place to get over your cabin fever with brilliantly colored yarns, roving, and hand-woven scarves. Craft guilds will demonstrate spinning and weaving throughout the day.  Herding and sheep shearing—using three different historic techniques!—form the centerpiece of the action. Find crafts for kids, 18th century re-enactors, and live traditional music all in one beautiful location!

An immersive event and all-encompassing experience, 24-HOUR DRONE is a roving, international series presented by Basilica Hudson and Le Guess Who?, featuring musicians and sound artists experimenting within the spectrum of drone to create 24 hours of unbroken, uninterrupted sound.
